The Gorean Short Sword and Its Use
Published by Lemuel on 2007/1/14 (3571 reads)
This article was originally written for issue 10 of an online newsletter called “The Tavern Tattler” which was published by the Gorean Shores chat room on April 5, 2002. The newsletter may be found here:

http://taverntattler.tripod.com/issue10.html

The information in this article is based on information contained in the Gor series as well as my own experience as a fencer. The tactics I mention are similar to those used for epeé. Please keep in mind that this essay is not intended to be an exhaustive or authoritative treatise on the use of the Gorean gladius. Rather, it is a mere introduction to some basic tactics for those unfamiliar with the weapon.

Questions and comments are welcome.

I wish you well,

Lemuel of the Builders
